Around its pediment and its shops, you will certainly hear Euskara, the Basque language being spoken. Former stopover for shepherds and pilgrims on the way to Santiago de Compostela, the bastide village built around a main street is a haven of great beauty where one is able to totally unplug. Not to be missed: the walk to the Aubépine chapel on the hill overlooking Ainhoa. From above, you will see a striking 360° view of the Basque mountains. A 45 minutes’ walk from the village.
