Restaurant I Saint-Jean-de-Luz
Chistera & Xistera

While for Basque pelota Chistera means the curved wicker glove, in Saint-Jean-de-Luz it refers to two restaurants on the corner of boulevard Victor-Hugo, near the Halles.

Presentation

Two lively addresses which, although opposite each other (at no. 17 and 23), belong to the same establishment. Le Chistera proposes a “bistronomic” experience with flavourful meals while Xistera is more of an authentic pintxos bar with its own seafood and shellfish area. However, both share the same passion for refined, local cuisine with Galicia-style octopus, porc belly, baby squid, stuffed mussels… animated by the Luzian spirit, driven by the dynamic team behind the bars. You’ll also love the interior decoration and fantastic terrace.
